The Founder’s day celebrations and new member’s induction ceremony is scheduled to be held on 18^th June 2010, 4.30 PM at St. George Orthodox Cathedral Hall. The invitation and flyer is attached herewith for your kind information.

We are very much delighted to share our joy with you as the Inaugural Function 2010-‘11 held on 22nd May, 2010 at St. George Orthodox Cathedral Hall, Abu Dhabi was a successful event by the grace of God Almighty.

Dr. Ellangovan IAS, Counselor, Head of Pravasi welfare wing, Indian Embassy, UAE and Former Palaghat District Collector was the Chief Gues and other dignitaries who delivered felicitation speech were:

YMCA Abu Dhabi president Mr. Samuel Mathai has presided inaugural function. Mr. Reji C.U, General Secretary did the welcome speech and Mr. Binu Thomas, Treasurer expressed gratitude to all.

Dr. Ellangovan explored and shared the ways of possible co-operation between the Pravasi Welfare wing and YMCA Abu Dhabi since both have some common goals that “helping our suffering fellow citizens”. The General Body has authorized the YMCA Board Directors to respond and co-operate the requests of Embassy. The Budget and yearly activity calendar were approved by the General Body. We request your kind support and co-operation for our all future charity initiatives and other planned activities.

On behalf of YMCA Abu Dhabi Board, I would like to extend our sincere thanks and regards to all the YMCA members, Guests, Churches /congregations and well wishers, especially the St. George Orthodox Cathedral Vicar and managing committee for graciously granting venue for this purpose.

YMCA Abu Dhabi is organizing one day Public Speaking Work Shop for children

 in association with “Youngest” children’s magazine

 

Date: 27th March, Saturday, 2010 (register before 24th March 2010)
Time: Between 9.00 AM to 3.30 PM
Venue: Marthoma Parish Hall, St. Andrews Center, Abu Dhabi

Age Group:  8 – 14

The Group of the children will be as follows:

Group A:   Age band 8 – 10

Group B:   Age band 11- 14

The work shop format: One module comprising 6 phases including a presentation option for attendees.

Seats are limited  to 50 participants in total (2 groups)

We are glad to inform you that YMCA Abu Dhabi would be conducting a Mega entertainment programme MAGIC IN ARABIA a magic show by one of the top illusionist performer   Mr. GOPINATH MUTHUKAD on Thursday 18^th March 2010 at the National Theatre  Abu Dhabi, there will be two shows at 06.00 PM & 09.00 PM. The profits from the programme shall be used for the various charitable activities of our YMCA.

The Abu Dhabi YMCA Educational scholarships for the current year were distributed in a colourful function held at Kottarkara in Kollam district of Kerala State on 09th August 2009. The meeting was inaugurated by Rt Rev .Dr.Joseph Marthoma metropolitan and the distribution of the scholarships was inaugurated by Ex-Minister R.Balakrishnapillai.
Several dignitaries were attended the function.Mr.Biju John President of the Abu Dhabi YMCA presided the function. Please read the attachment.
